Welp, we let an idiot manchild run a whole country with the strongest military on earth under his command, and a nuclear arsenal button under his fucking finger. 😂

What’s wrong with him liking that tweet? Age is just how long we’ve been alive for, we’re all mentally still in our 20’s

I reworked an old phrase because of him.

“You either die a hero or live long enough for everyone to work out you’re a fucking idiot.”

Not born in the US, so he’s ineligible. Of course he’s also super rich so…

That has never really been tested so there is no guarantee that a republican-held Supreme Court would find this interpretation of the constitution.

That doesn’t make you ineligible. Ted Cruz was born in Canada but could and did run to be a presidential candidate. The rule is:

Be a natural-born citizen of the United States

That could mean that one or both of your parents are US citizens giving you a US citizenship at birth. It’s just one more reason the whole Obama birther thing was nonsense, his mom is a US citizen so it wouldn’t matter where he was born.

That said, Elon also does not meet that requirement.

Anime is mainstream now, so zoomers think it’s “new”. Thing is, the otaku culture predates the internet. I watched anime since the early 1980s. “Old people” can and do watch anime and read manga. It’s not your zoomer sekrit club.

It’s not so much that it’s anime as it is Elon liking a comment about someone wanting to fuck heavily sexualized teens that look a very specific way…that happens to be in an anime.

Yeah but only one of these services directs their engineering team to make such changes because the boss is getting dragged for liking weird shit.

Lemmy doesn’t really hide it as they’re visible to instance owners and shared through federation. Kbin also shows them so I can see the username/instance of the 7 people who upvoted your comment.

It’s kinda lame that kbin users get to see Lemmy upvotes too. Most Lemmings don’t even know you guys are spying on us like that 🫣

I think I’d rather have Lemmy make voter identity visible as well, but at least if we can’t see it then neither should you. That’s just rude.

There is a way to see up votes on Lemmy if you’re an instance admin, which isn’t a super high hurdle. But point taken. Still a bit funny to see how directly his usage informs the mechanics of Twitter.

I have an unpopular opinion, which is… men who’s into animé girls are closeted pedophiles
