I’m aware there are plugins but plugins aren’t a standard. I want a platform that is ad free and can handle payments. Obysee technically is a option but it sucked last time I used it and was full of Nazis
Good luck, Nebula is a paid service. My issue with peertube is that Framasoft is completely unwilling to allow others to make money. They seem to think they can make it work just on peoples kindness but hosting videos is extremely demanding compared to a mastodon instance.
What they should do is find a way to allow server admins and creators to sell content and goods. For instance, I would pay for a Proxmox guide or book.
They should make the batteries explode when the device is opened that way the user gets third degree burns
All battery’s can be removed if you try hard enough
This is especially true for users of Lineage os. Its hard to know if the reduced battery is related to updates or not.
Now if we only could get the F-droid project to be controlled by a board and not a single person.
Keep in mind that the security issues were addressed a while back. It was in a blog post.
For that to work you need to know the app exists first. I also like to look at F-droids anti feature list.
The lineage os camera is pretty good and can be installed outside of lineage os.
This is why I don’t like Graphene os. Its encourages using proprietary apps that over Foss. With a Foss camera app from F-droid you don’t need play services and the app with do exactly what its meant to do, nothing more.
I have two thoughts on this:
First off you shouldn’t be using windows if you care about privacy and freedom. Its just not good for that.
Second off I wish gpg wasn’t dependent on a single key. If your key is compromised your screwed. You are better off using a messager with better security if you can like session, simplex chat, Jami and a few others.
Relockable bootloader and hackable hardware
That’s why we need openstreetmap. Its made by people in the community so it is as good as the people who use it.
wakes up on a plane heading for the world trade center
It doesn’t work on lemmy.zip
I don’t get it. Can someone explain it to me?
I feel like they shot themselves in the knee. Even if it was buggy I would of still tried to use it for fun. However, when they first came out I found out about them because it caused me to be unable to work. I used apt to install a CLI tool and then the CLI tool wasn’t working. I tried to manually get it from the Ubuntu repo only to discover it was snap only.
It really pissed me off.
