how in the hell does one get @firefox to not expand like this on hover in fullscreen mode on macOS? i’ve thrown all i can at the custom css files and config files

    I’m not sure if you mean you want the gap or not. Probably some CSS margin on the outermost container. You can use the Inspector in Firefox’s Developer Tools to highlight that area and adjust the margin.

    But I’m just pulling this out of the top of my head. I’m not at home where I can test this.

    Looks like a problem with your theme. Try a completely fresh profile with no themes installed.
