With the Taliban having exceeded expectations and reduced poppy cultivation to levels not seen since 2001, there is now a real need to understand the potential effects of the drugs ban on Afghanistan, the region, and further downstream. If you don’t have some control or regulation you’d end up with a situation like the one the disgusting UK forced China to, and you get 10 year olds addicted to opium. Afghanistan need rebuilding and banning poppy production is the right thing to do, I hope they can improve the livings of their people.
