    I think it means nothing, the DPRK is basically Mordor in the imagination of your average westerner, so absolutely any comparison to other bad things they’ve heard about is apt, because the thing they have in common is Bad. North Korea is like Apartheid South Africa? Fuck it, why not, pretty sure they’re ISIS and Nazi Germany too.

      To be clear, Earl is a very recently converted leftcom who was “Xi’s Strongest Soldier” like 3 weeks ago, from what I understand. Apparently leftcoms are obessed with comparing things to fascist Italy because Bordiga talked about it a lot? Idfk.

        They’ve moved on from the regular lib thing of comparing everything to Nazi Germany, but haven’t quite figured out that fascism actually has a definition and they can’t just call everything they don’t like Fascist yet.
