This game seems difficult, weapons and shield constantly break. I am always out of stamina and keep dying. I am afraid to roam around, so no open world for me. Any tips, would be appreciated.

I had the same thoughts in the beginning. Eventually you will get to a point t where you have to decide which weapon to discard cuz your inventory is full.
The beginning is a little too hard in my opinion. I had to look stuff up.
