        A right thing. And not a very substantial one. But don’t sell the UK short. The government might be despicable, but the massive marches in London by the people have been inspiring. The power of that crowd needs to be channelled into direct action.

        The two-state solution is - and has long been - UK official policy under governments of all three parties. So it’s unsurprising the UK would vote in favour.

        The weird thing is that this is also US policy. Why the hell would the US vote against this?

      Israel really has us by the balls, don’t they? Maybe I missed something in history class but I’m pretty sure that the United States was founded on the principle of self determination.

        Self determination for who? For rich, land-owning, white males.

        The US was founded on the same genocidal settler-colonialism as Israel.

        The US was founded because the king said stop going further west and killing indigenous peoples. They took offense to this and a few years later threw some tea in the water.
