Telstra here in Australia seems to have this as well. Not sure about duckdns specifically, but last night I found out that they block a few monero mining pools. I emailed them about it, and apparently it’s based off of virustotal ratings. They wouldn’t turn it off, but they told me it’s “trivial to bypass” (their words), suggesting google or CloudFlares DNS, or a VPN
Oh well thank fuck there’s at least some people with at least half a brain left. Now who drafted the legislation in the first place? Cause you guys need to sack them…
Strangely enough I find a bit of joy in doing things like that. I’ve got several books of paperwork I’ve been gradually scanning and organising in a paperless ngx setup. It’s a big hassle that ultimately doesn’t help me much at all (95% of the things in there are random things I could just get rid of and would never miss), but yet I do it anyway, and enjoy doing it
I wouldn’t consider them that dangerous, but even if you do, that’s fairly easily solved with a silicone tip
Oh, I must’ve missed that in the very thorough onboarding process I was subjected to
That’s a reddit moment right there
Why you got beef with Mozi? They chill
You missed a 0
Funny enough the post right below this one in my subscribed feed was a post from db0 asking about setting up media servers. And both of the top two comments recommend jellyfin, nobody recommended emby
Also Fitbit is owned by Google now and if you created an account afterwards, everything is tied to your Google account. Which is a yikes
I was thinking the same thing. Apparently I’m “off the grid” because the only thing they listed that I use is telegram
There’s also TubeArchivist which is sort of like a self hosted YouTube. It can pull videos automatically from channels you subscribe to and download them through yt-dlp and has some organisational capabilities too

The thing that’s getting me is that it’s always when watching Netflix, plex, or occasionally YouTube, always occurs 10-30mins into watching and is fixed by just turning the screen off and back on
Yeah, this. The 2 usernames I currently use both include types of Japanese mythological creatures, and before that I used basically whatever was on my desk with some random numbers
To be honest it’s entirely because Plex was what I first discovered and setup, and I liked it enough to pay for a pass
I bought it outright through a local store but contacted Google directly since they issued the warranty
It’s OUR intellectual property, comrade.
(My money though)
