I’ve been a fan of the Moto G series for a while. I think they’re solid phones but maybe a year or two behind in features compared to their peers. The biggest gripe of mine is that their midrange phones don’t, or didn’t used to, have NFC capabilities. I dearly miss the Moto Actions though. Chopping to turn on the flashlight is amazing!

Yeah, my first thought is we found a way to stave off catastrophe so the deniers can say they were right all along. 🤬

So the litigant is filling lawsuits against IP addresses or did they ask the ISP for the customers info? Not trying to take the side of “Big Porn” but I have a hard time defending something that’s clearly against the law. By all means steal porn but get a VPN or something.

Important context missing from the headline and opening paragraph: they’re going after BitTorrent users.

The opening makes it sound like they’re threatening their own paying customers (or maybe people that just visit the site) with exposure unless they pay “hush money”.

As far as news quality goes I think it was actually a good program but the whole “local news” format makes it feel dated and using a green screen 90% of the time makes it feel cheap.

This felt a lot like Naked News but y’know I’d rather look at titties while being given a bland delivery and near robotic gestures.

But AI, so I’m sure naked AI news anchors are right around the corner.

In my experience it does not go without saying that a project needs a goal. Not a list of acceptance criteria or next steps, but WHY are we doing what’s being asked. It’s staggering how many times I’ve seen entire projects without a clearly defined goal or problem statement, and after 3 months the work was shelved. Management simply shrugged it off as, “That’s business for you – targets move,” when plenty of people on the front line were unsure what the point was and it would’ve taken a 10 min convo with the intended audience to learn that the feature was nowhere in their top 10 and they’ll never use it.
