I wish I or someone else who understands CAD modeling could help make FreeCAD work better. A LOT of the issue is tools that are commonly used are hidden in weird places that make sense only to people who don’t used cad for a living.

“The sound of tolerant children has been removed”
I dunno, I kinda like Pithy Folk Ignorance.
And then they will leave for a more idyllic life in the country because it’s so noisy.
I’m pretty sure the large open field behind my house, which used to be full of trees, is going to be turned into another gated neighborhood full of cookie cutter houses. And I just know someone is going to be close to my back yard, and they are going to whine about my wife’s chickens, especially since one of them is a rooster.
So they will piss and moan and try to make us get rid of the rooster. And then they will probably get a small dog that yaps all night.
The Isuzu N-trucks are much larger than my F150.
Free batteries and motors, you mean?
Free batteries and motors for the taking.
I’ll also point out that there was an explicit understanding with the west.
Is “The West” the US only?
I have an F150, but believe me, I tried to go another way. A van wasn’t ideal, because I need something that has an open cargo area, unless the idea of carrying a van full of manure, dirt, or compost seems like a good idea.
What I wanted to get was one of the little kei trucks, espeically a Suzuki Carry, but at the time I couldn’t find one in running condition for less than $25k, and I wasn’t going to pay that, especially when I found a base model F150 with 81,000 miles for $12k. The market may have changed in the past two years, but I have the truck now and it would be silly to waste the time and energy to sell it and find a kei truck.
Neither the truck or the bike were very expensive… both of them together were about half the price of a base model new truck.
And yet not one manager’s car is on fire in the parking lot.
I have a truck that I use to move large, dirty, or awkward things for a small farm… but to commute to work I ride a motorcycle. The bike gets better gas mileage, looks cooler, is easier to park, and is considerably cheaper than a new truck.
This. Stop begging the US for money and guns with one side of your mouths while telling us how terrible we are for everything with the other. We are facing some pretty significant issues of our own, and I know that when shit gets bad here, there won’t be a single country anywhere that will help us.
I’d bet a significant chunk of the F150’s sold every year go to fleet operators which would skew the saftey numbers.
Did they forget that Finland created Simo Heyha?
I’ve almost bought DIvinity Original Sin a couple of times, is it any good?
It’s actually later than the trucks with the 5.4 engines. This one could have had a 3.7 V6, a 3.5 turbocharged V6, or a 5.0 V8. The last year for the 5.4 was 2009.
Edit: I feel I should mention that a 12 year old truck means it’s a 2012. I don’t understand how 2012 is a dozen years ago, either.
I don’t see how much data can be recovered from broken, bent pieces. If you’re really concerned, you can use a torch to raise a magnetic platter until it glows, this raises it above it’s curie temperature so all the magnetic particles stop being magnetic.
I have a small farm and a battered 12 year old F150 XL. It moves once a week, and I commute by motorcycle. I bought the truck in 2022 and it was bizarre. It had half the miles of the next cheapest truck on the lot, and it was half the price. It’s a base model, no option truck and nobody seems to want one of those.
I wish I could get my head around programming. I’ve tried learning from books, I’ve tried learning from codecademy, and all I can do is follow the lessons, I don’t understand how I’m supposed to turn all these lines of gibberish into a program that does something. The most common bit of advice I get is “Just make up a project! Find something that you want the computer to do, it’s easy and fun!” And I’m over here like… “OK, how?” It’s like someone pointing to a pile of metal and a welder and saying “Build something!” Sure, someone who knows how to weld can do that, but most people are going to need more information.
