Oh that seems like it would be a bit more involved then. I’ll maybe hold off on this one until I’ve tried some others then.

Never heard of that before. Only familiar with TWRP and OrangeFox myself, but these days every custom ROM has its own very basic recovery anyway if you don’t need anything special.
Then it might be a good starting point for someone like me that isn’t familiar with the genre.
TWRP and OrangeFox allow you to make full backups and do root things without rooting your phone. If you have no need for that kind of functionality then it doesn’t make sense to do it. ClockWorkMod I’m pretty sure doesn’t exist anymore, or does it?
Yeah, I’ve always wanted to try SeaMonkey. It seems like such an interesting idea, but it just can’t replace Firefox or Thunderbird for me.
I’m pretty sure SeaMonkey is still being updated. Probably won’t be replacing anyone’s main browser or anything, but it’s there.
Has to be my Xiaomi Mix 2S I bought in 2019. Selfie camera is at the bottom of the phone, which is weird, but at least it’s not a notch camera. Custom ROM support was amazing and it’s still a great phone.
Edit: Fingerprint reader on the back too. Always reliable unlike the OnePlus 7 Pro that has one in the screen that refuses to work 50% of the time.
I saw it too. Only realised it was the Twitter logo when I went back to check what it’s really supposed to be after seeing your comment.
This works if parents have the technical knowledge to do so. Otherwise it ends with the parents clutching their pearls or just having their ISP block Twitch outright on the router or something. Which might lead to the kids learning the technical skills to get around these blocks if they want to watch Twitch badly enough.
Don’t forget the original DoTA maps.
Agreed. I’m still a complete noob so this is a very interesting approach to using Debian. Never would have considered something like this myself.
Kids will be kids. Good parenting makes a big difference but kids will end up seeing and seeking these things at some point.
Not sure if this is proper procedure since I searched around and didn’t find much, but I’ve got an internal drive just for games mounted at /home/games. Haven’t had any issues so far.
Yeah it seems a little spartan. But, it’s probably going to be the most up-to-date whenever there is an update to Lemmy itself since it’s the same dev.
It’s developed by the main Lemmy dev as far as I understand. Closest thing to an ‘official’ app we’ve got. But other apps just suit me better ATM. I’m still testing different apps now and then since the apps are still rapidly being developed and dying out. Settled on Liftoff initially, but I remember liking Thunder and so far Raccoon is looking promising.
Used Thunder a while back. I’ll check in on it again sometime.
I use that as a secondary client from time to time. It’s very good as well.
Tried Jerboa again recently. Didn’t love it but I’ll probably check it out again at some point.
I’ll be checking that out thanks.
My first thought was that this is some 4chan level garbage. So, that checks out.
