It would be awesome if we could just install whatever like we can on pcs. On phones you still need a developer to make a specific rom for that device, we were close with Generic System Images (GSIs), but I don’t think they really went anywhere

Oto music is really good, but not open source unfortunately. Replaced it with Retro music player and to be honest it’s just as good
It’s a feature that no one wants and is annoying and badly thought out but you can turn it off but they haven’t disabled any functionality to add this feature
So it’s just more unnecessary bloat
A couple of years ago, don’t know exactly, but maybe 2018? Somewhere around there at least
Partitioning is great with a boot partition for each OS
Until Windows eats your Linux boot partition. I’ve learned my lesson, I only dual boot with separate drives now
Ah nevermind, yeah at home/work I use SolidWorks and Fusion 360
I feel like it’s a rule made up by someone who didn’t agree with the double step rule
“Oh, your pawn can do a double step? Well, my pawn can capture yours anyways!”
It is google Android but they do not pay for the name so they call it ‘FairphoneOS’.
That’s not how that works, they call it FairphoneOS because they added their own customizations. Default Android is pretty barebones nowadays so nobody uses that. You dont have to pay Google to use the Android name
I recently did my yearly service of filling the tires, I’ve literally never opened up the wheel hub of a bicycle in my entire life
In the end I just split my SSD and installed Linux next to Windows.
That’s all fun and all until windows decides to wipe your Linux bootloader for no apparent reason
Wait what tool are you talking about?
Depends on how many applications you have I guess, I keep my number of applications down, so the amount per letter is at max like 5 or 6, so searching doesn’t take a long time at all
Well that’s the entire point of Niagara Launcher
It’s fat and slow
With modern hardware neither of those really are an issue. You can get a 1 TB nvme ssd for €50 and 2 TB for less than a 100. That should lend you plenty of storage and speed
I have a Deezer subscription and use an application called Deemix to download all my music in FLAC format. I’m not sure if there’s still a download available for Deemix, but there are alternatives as well
I don’t know how much that 8350 uses at idle, but that cpu is really old now and certainly not known for being power efficiënt. Honestly I think you’re better off getting something more modern, if you buy used it doesn’t have to be expensive either.
NORMAL BIKES ARE 200E
Graphene OS isn’t anymore Linux than any other Android rom
