honestly I think the opposite. from what a younger sibling has told me, old is new and the current trends in TikTok and stuff seem to be younger people wanting physical media, non flat design back, the old internet and etc. gives me hope at least.
traveling abroad for the first time. pretty much my number 1 bucket list item
doodoo fart
same here, thought my 1 year data top-up was a waste…
oh I see. thank you
I was out when they did the thunderbolt only thing. and of course when they realized it was a mistake, they not only fixed it but also added a massive unnecessary notch in the display to make it match the iphone. it’s like the joke writes itself in my case.
balls lol
tldr: net neutrality means everything that uses an internet connection is treated equally. EX: cox communications offers a “fast lane” for gamers on their networks, but if all connections were treated neutrally, everything would be as fast as possible by default without the need for an upgraded service plan.
Sure thing. I’ll update my comment at around 2:30pm pacific time.
not on my computer at the moment so I don’t have a copy of mine to send you but this one looks like a similar premise.
I installed a userscript today that plays ads in muted embeds hidden behind the actual player so that it effectively and quite literally blocks them while still leaving actual ublock disabled on the site. works pretty well.

same here. switched back after years of dual booting because on all my DEs over the years I consistently had these issues, not to mention I make music and daws fucking hate Linux / wine. just made sure to debloat it before I used it.
you can use ReHike to get the 2017 layout back which does not have this issue, combined with uBlock origin.
satellite map.
I can’t even afford an old car lol
I have noticed this too. It’s better just to not interact. At the end of the day, I just wanted a better link aggregator than what reddit became and it works nicely for that.
I blocked all political / political meme instances. Lemmy is as much of a cesspool from both sides as reddit was.
I still drink chocolate milk and watch cartoons and play video games and shit in my free time. honestly the key is just learning not to care.
flat design but specifically rounded everything. I’m not watching a video on a round player where part of what I’m watching is cut off. I even switched to the SE because the round screen with a notch in it on my iphone XR drove me crazy.
Every single day, maybe a few times a year I don’t use it. Though because I have an iphone, my headphone jack is on an adapter. But still, I know for certain it’s not something I can ever give up at this point, have tried the Bluetooth thing.
