I agree that we should defederate. I like it here, but I’ll definitely change instances if Lemmy.world decides to federate with threads (or any similar platform) and isn’t very cautious about it. No hurt feelings of course, if I’m not part of the majority here, but from the responses I’ve seen so far it seems like most people here agree.
I do respect one thing, and it’s that everyone I’ve encountered in this discussion is interested in keeping the fediverse alive and well. ╰( ‿)╯

Y’know, something tells me you’re just saying this bc you hate fat people.
told his workers that their year-end bonuses had been canceled. Instead, the money will be distributed across each coming month, and how much employees receive will depend on how far they run.
Sorry, but can somebody explain the ending to me?

They might be a little stale, but it’s all good
Alright, thanks. What I’m wondering is why you believe this is the average person’s idea of a mass shooting. Is this based on your gut feeling, or is there any kind of evidence you can point me toward? Like I said, it just doesn’t match my personal experience, that’s the only reason I ask.
I’m confused. Is your position that yours is the most generally-held definition, or that it should be?
Where does your definition come from? I’m not saying it’s wrong, it’s just not the same as what I and people I know use. For context, I live in the US.
You’re not wrong!
Physical therapy changed my life. Not just that, but my PTs actually had knowledge and experience with my rare condition – more so than any doctor I’ve ever seen to this day. I’m sorry that hasn’t been your experience, but I assure you that there are serious PTs out there.
I will add, as someone with a connective tissue disorder, that a quick “pop” can help a subluxated/dislocated joint, but that’s something that can and should be done by an actual physician. And if someone has joints that are especially unstable (for example, bc of a connective tissue disorder), subluxations/dislocations can happen pretty regularly.
This is NOT a defense of chiropractors. And chiropractors are even more dangerous for people like me because it’s easier for them to seriously damage our joints. Go to a PCP, a rheumatologist, a physical therapist, it doesn’t matter, just go to a real doctor.
I had a friend who would have severe reactions to injections. He wasn’t afraid of needles, but his body would have weird reactions lasting about a week after having an injection. It was really problematic, so he tried to avoid them whenever possible. All this to say, I bet he’d be excited if something like this were made available to him.
I specifically remember my bio mom ranting about how we all would have telekinetic powers if not for the fluoride in the water. She believed that was the ‘real’ reason the government did it.
Afaik, the people who did that are not around anymore. If they were, I’d say go for it, but I’m of the strong opinion that it’s not ok to kill millions of people for something their predecessors did.
Robinson challenged him further, saying: “I read that your company is investing in a lot more fossil fuel in the future.” Al Jaber responded: “You’re reading your own media, which is biased and wrong. I am telling you I am the man in charge.”
“Biased and wrong” says the guy who literally owns an oil company
Exactly, EEE is a big part of what convinced me. It’s not about a circle jerk or excluding anyone, and I welcome threads users to make accounts and create instances here.
