Though it could’ve easily been a messed up formatting. I’ve done it plenty of times. Though their formatting is easier than here, where you need that extra empty line for comments to show up on different lines.

I didn’t consider that someone could actually go there and find the post since I think of 4chan as /b where it all disappears after 2 hours.

I was searching archives and found nothing, assuming it was old enough (and I was lucky enough) that it was archived. Then just searched for the comment number + 4chan and found it. Turns it it is just 20 hours old or so. Only now I realize that the date is right there lol. And it being /g/, it’s much much slower

It’s not a comment ID number, it’s saying there’s basically “a gazillion instances”. It’s making a joke about Lemmy but just in greentext.

Jokes and stories are often written that way there. Greentext. Actual quote and that greentext form of writing just use the same > arrow thingy. You see it here too sometimes.

I think there’s something fun about writing it like that. Reminds me of IRC.

Yeah, that’s where a ton of custom ROM info has gone to. Pretty annoying since search engines won’t find it and all the different groups have different rules, all the info is behind “notes” managed by a bot and quite a few of them seem to be treated almost like social platforms instead of info platforms.
