I’m alright all things considered. I hope you are ok
It’s complicated.
Is it possible the the holidays are potentially making some of your friends more on edge than usual?
Right? What are the specifics here?
Well that’s discerning but thanks for the info!
Hey good on you! Gotta repurpose those leftovers however you can. FYI - I thought they looked delicious sans beans.
I see beans I think and that shit just ain’t right. Lots of polarizing opinions here.
Loving it myself. Delving into the world of Plex and sailing the high seas. Just trying to figure out the best way to keep it organized and also standardizing subtitles for various video files.
They’re gonna start feeding us bugs next!
Am I weird to think that the fediverse will eventually succumb to enshitification in its own ways? As in, if it does pick up then any easy to sign up and popular instances will have a certain concentration of power and if they try to cater to the masses, they might just end up becoming their own silos if defederated from other instances en masse.
I’m just kinda posting here to air some thoughts. I’m sure I’m not the first to think about this and of course I understand this is a feature not a bug.
You remind me of my manager. She is so freaking awesome but we have a great team as well that does not need micromanaging or hand holding. Thanks for all that you do!
I’m just now getting acquainted with Plex myself. I have no desire to open it up to beyond my local network nor other users and I’m guessing that’s a good decision based on these kind of feature rollouts I’m hearing about.
Yeah I never truly resolved the proper permission settings - tried to understand and research and figure it out even though I’m a complete Linux newb.
My workaround was figuring out that I can mount the drive in the Plex directory and it finally could see the media. I had to override the default behavior when Unbuntu auto mounts it to a specific directory when you plug the HDD in while the OS is running.
I’m just now getting into it. Set up a laptop with Ubuntu running Plex media server. Been taking some real baby steps watching basic Linux tutorials.
It did take me about 4 hours to figure out how to mount an ext HDD so that Plex would have proper permissions to find the media. It was very rewarding to finally frickin resolve that! I’m still gonna keep pecking away and learn as I go while watching I keep watching tutorials.
Yeah this. Cute can be a catch all adjective I feel like and doesn’t have to be as explicit as OP is making it out to be.
Good thing is there’s a video tutorial for almost anything like that on the internet at least. One of the more essential, helpful things this age of information sharing has contributed to.
I’m sure happy they just made us perm WFH. My flooring replacement project is hovering on 4 years now at about halfway done.
Andre 3000 is taking the wheel for him.
Ah right on that’s a cool idea!
Someone didn’t hope hard enough that their message finds you well.
