SpaceX has paid for starlink through selling flights on their rockets, not through “subsidies like this”

You seem confused if you’re flip flopping between starlink being paid for by consumers and subsidies.

SpaceX sells services. Just because they’re selling services to the government doesn’t make it a subsidy.

The grant requires applicants to meet these benchmarks by 2025. Only SpaceX came close to meeting this standard and only SpaceX is being denied the grant for not yet meeting this requirement.

In my experience, Amazon takes a lower cut than retail chains. In fact, Amazon is less expensive than DTC when you factor in advertising costs. In all likelihood, it is not causing anyone to drive up their prices off Amazon.

I work with many many brands. I have seen several turn off their DTC channels because customer acquisition costs are simply too high.

The competitive price match policy is a nuisance when retailers liquidate inventory for pennies in the dollar.

That API you are describing is not active anymore. Hasn’t been in a long time.

Keepa has to scrape Amazon data themselves.

The subscribe and save price reflects the listing price at the time your order is fulfilled.

As a seller, the number of subscriptions evaporates if I increase the price on an item.

What you are describing is not a tactic any business is intentionally employing. It’s more likely born of incompetence.

This is not evidence of a monopoly.

This tactic would only impact Amazon owned listings, which account for a minority of the listings on Amazon.

Amazon does not change prices for listings controlled by third party sellers.

What’s funny to me is that Amazon has a competitive price match policy, where they will hide offers for listings that are priced above other retailers. So the FTC’s argument is that Amazon is trying to drive prices up while also driving prices down.

1. The radio defaults to SiriusXM every time I turn on the car, even though I do not pay for it and do not want to.
2. Android Auto and Apple Car Play would cut out regularly
3. Eventually the entire system would just randomly crash and reboot frequently throughout a trip.
4. Found out there was a TSB out on the radio for frequent issues, and had to get it warrantied.
5. Even with the new radio, I have occasional issues with Apple Car Play freezing
6. I can’t have both an android and iPhone connected at the same time, because I won’t be able to use Android Auto, I’m forced into Car Play

And on the new cars Subaru made the screen narrow and tall. This effectively reduced the amount of screen space for Android Auto/car play in comparison with prior years.

Add to that the entire display is now needed for HVAC, heated seats, etc and do you really want to depend on a glitchy computer that frequently crashes?

Really long story, made short: Reddit API was free. They decided to charge an insane amount of money for it, and gave developers almost no notice of the changes. Most 3rd party apps were forced to shut down as a result. This meant apps for people who need accessibility features, apps that moderators depended on, etc. Reddit’s official app is a dumpster fire and offered very few much needed features.

People protested. Reddit removed moderators that protested. Many users left in response. At least one major 3rd party app switched to supporting Lemmy. A lot of users followed.

These guys tried to get a previous employer of mine to advertise with them. It works great if your entire audience is tech bros. Ours was not.

Really hard coming from a family with only automatic cars. Very few people have stick cars, and even fewer are willing to teach you in their own car.

Can’t even rent a stick shift to practice on. Your best bet is to sign up with a driving school that offers stock shift lessons, which I almost did.

Instead, a buddy of mine was kind enough to let me practice for 2 hours with him in a beater he had. Then I went and picked up my brand new WRX. Stalled like 12 times on the way home. But I figured it out!!

Idk, I leverage Slack huddles regularly and have absolutely no issues with multiple people hanging out and having casual conversations while working. We do these spontaneously throughout the day.

How old are your coworkers generally? My company is mostly on the younger side of things. We grew up with team speak, steam voice chat, and now are often in discord. This is not unfamiliar territory and has always worked well outside of the office.

The thing is I spent a LOT of time in voice chats playing games as a kid. It always worked well then. It hasn’t changed at all. I don’t need to be on a video call. I jump into a voice chat channel and hang out. People come and go, and are quiet for the most part.

Having come from an office environment where everyone worked in cubes, it truly is no different. I don’t need to be face to face with coworkers, because I wasn’t face to face for most of the conversations we had in the office. We’d stare at our screens and talk over the walls.

When we were looking at each other’s faces, it was in the conference room. Those formal meetings are effectively replaced with video calls - and more often are effectively replaced with emails like they should be.

This probably largely depends on your field. But for me, my productivity is higher working from home, because at least at home I can choose when to tune out the noise. In the office, management was personally offended by me listening to music while working alone. I was told to focus on my paycheck if I needed help focusing.

My company is complete work from home. The issue is that people can’t imagine coworkers talking to each other and being friends while working remotely.

I spend half of most days in spontaneous voice chats with coworkers where we have these exact same moments. Spontaneous discussions leading to ideas that change the way we do things.

It’s not exclusive to being in an office. You just need to adapt to a new work style.

One sold protein powder. Product title says “25g of protein”. First bullet point says “25g of protein per serving”. Main image of the product clearly shows “25g protein” on the label. Second image makes it more clear with “25 Grams of Protein Per Serving” in big bold letters. The A+ content (images in product description) repeat this information in big bold letters as well. Both the image gallery and the A+ content showed a picture of the supplement facts panel. The top rated review for the product called out that they liked the 25g of protein per serving.

Customer messages me, “How much protein per serving? Doesn’t say anywhere on the listing.”
