My chart shows an emphasis on zombies and typing. I don’t know how to interpret that other than we need a new Typing of the Dead.
Can someone ELI5 here. So Lemmy.world is a Reddit like site, Threads is a Twitter like site. What does it mean when they’re federated?
Something about the new games that really bothered me was how it handled puzzle rooms. You’d walk into a room and start to look around then your kid would yell out “hey I think we should shoot that target up there which should knock down this bridge for us”. Golly thanks, guess I won’t get to attempt to figure things out myself then. I pretty much fell off about 10 hours into the first one because I found that so frustrating. Does that go away after a while?
I’m not American so I don’t know where this is coming from but you have to consider different contexts for the word. Viability is going to differ based on needs.
And that’s fine, you had your game that ran well. We’re not gate keeping here, we’re just talking about the reality that most people want to play a wide variety of games and that simply wasn’t something you were able to do then. We’re also not saying that’s the case today, things have changed and we should celebrate that.
I don’t think that comparison tracks. If you’re a heavy gamer and the platform doesn’t allow you to play a lot of your favorite games, I wouldn’t recommend it as a platform. Xbox doesn’t get everything but it does get about 95% of all the titles you are looking for that aren’t platform exclusive to Sony or Nintendo. A decade ago linux could only play a much smaller fraction of the games you could play on windows. What your percentage of viable vs non-viable is, is up to you but I’d wager for many heavy gamers that percentage was much too low then.
Exactly. After the @ they should just confirm there’s at least one period. The rest is pretty much up in the air.
Holy hell guys, did you all just read the headline and run to the comment section?
enabled by default means you can see the feature and interact with it if you choose to do so
when you interact with it, it explains it needs to send this file to OpenAI. Of course it does, that’s how it knows what you’re asking of it. You are prompted to choose to use this feature
if you choose not to interact with it, nothing has changed, nothing has been sent anywhere
if you really don’t want to look at it anymore you can turn it off, which is nice. A lot of companies drop stuff like this and you’re stuck with it whether you like it or not
There’s a lot of missing context with those ellipsis. Enabled by default means you’re just going to see the feature but it’s not doing anything or sending any data until you interact with it. Even when you do it prompts you first to explain what it’s going to do. If you don’t want to see the feature at all you can just toggle it back off but no data has moved until you’ve consented to it.
It only interacts with OpenAI when you use the feature and warns you about it ahead of time. None of your files were automatically sent over and if you don’t want to use this feature they allow you to turn it off. This is in the article.
Required by who? Lemmy posters? How would this possibly be enforced? What constitutes a product vs a feature?
It’s not even like Google podcasts was anything special, there’s tons of better alternatives.
Don’t worry all we need to do is turn off the sun and everything will go back to normal.
If he is from the states, FBI report is probably the way to go. I don’t know much about making that report but it’s probably a good place to start. If you have more specific location details than reaching out to that areas local authorities would be the next best bet.
Interesting, looks like it has an actual map to play on and not just a repeating tile set.
I’d like it just set in any new city outside of these 3. It’s always been a rotation of Liberty, Vice and San Andreas, even back to GTA 1 (which was the 3 cities in one)
I’ve always dreamed about this one, London 69 updated in their recent style. I think they talked about this before and the problem is the cops in London didn’t carry guns then so it made it difficult to be a GTA game in the typical sense.
100% it’s their money maker. I’d be less surprised if they delayed the campaign to get the online out.
I suspect given the success of GTA online their priorities have shifted and they’ll want this on as many platforms as possible on release. They’re a GTA online company now, units sold are a secondary concern.
Ever since playing The Neverhood I always wished more games would use the stop motion aesthetic.
Because he’s one of the few devs with true name recognition. All video game awards shows have always been chasing the Oscars but the film industry is full of massive celebrities. Not just stars but directors and even some writers and producers.
So Kojima has that. Plus his work always shows well. It’s usually something unique and cinematic.
