Tolkien Estate? What’s that? People profiting off of the work of an author who has been dead for 50 years?
Copyright law is fucked up.

Good thing my torrent site of choice doesn’t advertise on Xtwitter.
Yeah it’s all the fault of the rightsholders. Definitely not bad management.
Not that I’m a fan of rightsholders but this is more like shifting the blame.
There’s not really a “the problem”.
Canonical’s intentions don’t line up with what is best for the linux community.
But in the end of the day Ubuntu is still linux and it’s fine if Ubuntu’s tastw of linux is what you want.
I am back to Ubuntu now and I like how it just works out of the box. I might try some other ones later knowing I can go back to Ubuntu if I want to.
I use it all the time. I have lots of equipent that doesn’t use bluetooth that I connect my phone with.
Solid casea are still available and ao are parts without LEDs.
That’s what I was thinking. If Elon throws a lot of money at advertising he might sell some.
Allright. You’ve convinced me not to give up.
And that Rick Roll song perfectly sums up how I personally think of Linux. I will not be giving it up. And I will not be saying goodbye.
Interesting. I didn’t consider a folding phone before. Maybe this is the solution I’ve been looking for.
Thanks, will do.
Great, thanks!
I believe there is an app that helps with that. From what I remember you could do some gesture to get a cursor in the top part of the screen so you could press that.
I wonder if they make them so rediculously flat to fit in pants pockets.
You are right. How could I forget about that.
I do wish I could have a phone that is comfortable but not unusable like those really tiny ones.
I have two Brother laser printers, an older one and a newer one. Both still work great. When I see people recommending Brother online it’s mainly the laser printers. Maybe they’re just made differently from the inkjet printers.
I’m glad you are having good experience with a Xerox and I would like to know how they compare to Brother ones on a price point. Do they cost a lot more? Also good to know about the software. I’ve personally only used my printers with the default drivers that came with Linux.
P.S. I also have a Kyocera laser printer which I’ve never had any issues with.
I totally agree with that.
Really? Neat. Goes to show I haven’t used Windows for a year at this point. Not thinking of going back but not having tabs was always a big complaint of mine.
Disgusting!
So where do I fit in with my 20 dollar mechanical keyboard?
Some older dutch movies were released as rentals to the theaters that had to be returned after they stopped playing the movie. These copies were all destroyed and re-releases on DVD now look worse than what it looked like in movie theatres.
The good news is that some theatres hung on to some movies.
