  • I tried the Pixel Fold because I’ve been using their phones since the Nexus days. I went into it very skeptically… Meaning I made sure I was thoroughly aware of the return policy.

I’m sold. Weight doesn’t bother me and the benefits of being able to swap into a screen with that much real estate for viewing, multitasking, playing games, etc far outweigh a little thickness and weight. It fits in my pocket way better than I imagined and the front screen is actually more functionally sized that my 7 Pro’s due to how damned tall it is! If you’re not hard on your phones (I don’t imagine it takes a beating as well as a regular phone) then I suggest you give it a shot. I’m definitely never going back.

  • The Pixel 6 series had its issues due to being the first in the new line featuring the G2 chips, etc so I understand your frustrations. However, the issues you described sound software related and could be caused by the backup you restored when you signed into the new phone. I know, it’s inconvenient under the current circumstances but a factory reset would very likely correct these issues, once able to restore only your personal data and redownload & install your apps fresh. It’s hard to diagnose an issue without being able to look at the phone so I’m speaking as to what I would try if I was in your situation.

  • I pre-ordered in the position, trying a foldable phone for the first time, where if it didn’t impress me, I’d just return it and keep my Pixel 7 Pro. There’s lots of negative reviews and articles saying, “Not Worth It.”

It is for me, I’m hooked. It’s a perfect sized front screen for daily use and it’s killer having the large screen for multitasking and viewing content. If you can afford it, I think you’ll love it.
