Easy, buy a $15,000 dollar bike.

Boy are you going to have a real egg on your face whenever X becomes a successful blogging/dating/banking/investing app \s
For a 700k salary I would 100% take the risk. Don’t change your lifestyle after you get the job and just pocket the extra cash. If you get fired having Netflix on your resume should allow you to find a new position fast enough to come out on top of the deal provided that you are able to make it a few months at Netflix.
If you are fortunate enough to have 3-6 months of expenses in an emergency fund then there is very little downside as long as you are able to maintain the correct headspace.
I see. That is an entirely separate discussion. Whenever you bring up air conditioning on a thread about the ozone layer everyone is going to assume you’re talking about the refrigerants.
You realize that banning CFC’s did have massive implications on industry right? Most CFC use was industrial. This comment really just shows that you’re clueless on the history of this issue. Consumer air conditioning was far from the only casualty. If we had not banned CFC’s then the ozone layer would be in an absolutely dire state today.
The Montreal Protocol is literally proof that if international governments wanted to they could come together and stop industry from destroying the planet, and you think we should roll that back for air conditioning? Give me a fucking break dude.
That we should go back to knowingly destroying the ozone layer because the lingering effects of our previous attempts at destroying it haven’t gotten completely better yet and that has had bad effects on air conditioning. Won’t anyone think of the poor deprived people forced to sit in their cars that are a sweltering 70 degrees Fahrenheit?
Most likely not, but it is more likely than sitting at home and doing nothing.
Could be, but applying pressure to stop those fat checks the US government sends to Israel is probably pretty good for the Palestinian people as well.
I get that this is a bit, but even in D&D charisma and attractiveness are different. Unless the elder brain is supposed to be sexy, then I need to rethink some things.
A lot of trains allow riders to bring their bikes onboard, no need to give it up.
I think they’re trying to say that less people would fly than currently drive due to the cost of flying. Although, if we subsidized personal planes at the same rate that we do personal vehicles I’m not entirely sure that flying would continue to be so expensive.
Voting is the absolute smallest political action anyone could ever take. Protest always has been and always will be more effective at moving the needle. Above all else these ghouls want to preserve capitalism. If it looks like the only way they preserve capitalism in the near term is capitulating to the demands of environmentalists then that is what will happen. Of course in the long term capitalists will attempt to erode these gains just like they have done with social safety nets in various countries for largely the same reasons (increased rate of profit).
In 5e evocation wizards get an ability that allows them to choose up to 1 + the spells level friendly targets that are unaffected by an evocation spell. This makes several of these large area of effect spells safe to use.
I wish you could buy a decent house for 500k in NYC…
I work in software and I haven’t touched windows in a very long time. Even back whenever I worked on FPGA development all of that software ram on Linux, so I think you’ll find that this is very field dependent.
How else am I supposed to haul all of my groceries for a week? \s
You may already know this, but this depends on the focal length of the lens. For example, a 50mm focal length on a 35mm camera will represent objects in the background fairly accurately. Larger focal lengths have background compression, making their background look closer than it actually is. Focal lengths below 50mm will have the opposite effect, making backgrounds appear further away.
Some phones with multiple cameras have a 50mm (or similar) effective focal length lens as one of the options. Basically without knowing the focal length of the lens it’s hard to say how accurately the distance of the background is portrayed.
What’s better for climate change is less cars on the road, not underground roads. If we are going to be digging these expensive tunnels in every city they should be for subway systems. That would be a substantially better use of the funds and would be a good step towards reducing the emissions of a city. This is all assuming that we stop subsidizing car ownership so heavily of course.
The entire process of building and repairing roads is pretty carbon intensive due to the amount of concrete involved.
A lot of these cars are starting to get massive touch screens too. I’m looking at buying a Prius and several of the trims have a 12 inch touch screen. Why would I ever need that as a driver? Why would I ever possibly want that? Pedestrian and cyclist deaths keep skyrocketing and we continue to out these massive screens in cars that in many cases can’t be turned off. Lawmakers really need to make auto manufacturers responsible for the part they are playing in enabling distracted driving.
Also plants will help cool and reduce humidity in an area. They also make a neighborhood feel more inviting.
