They’ve tried to improve working conditions vis a vis anti-karoshi laws and schemes but Japanese social norms would have to change to resolve that (e.g. “face time” and the idea that you shouldn’t leave before your boss.) and that clearly isn’t happening.

Japan needs its population to bang so that they have labor, but that isn’t happening, so gotta resolve it another way.

General high level healing (6+) will resolve scars, which one can argue that they should also resolve born stuff like epilepsy and the like since those are (kinda) lasting injuries akin to scars. Beyond that a case can definitely be made for Resurrection and it’s ability to restore missing body parts. Feel like bringing someone back to life is a big step beyond just curing their paraplegia. Heck, there’s an argument for Greater Restoration as well considering it resolves anything that lowers max HP or ability scores. Ultimately those are up to DM ruling but I doubt most would say no.

Then of course there’s just straight up Wish but that’s a whole nother thing.

The death of the third place has been happening in a thousand ways for a while now. Fewer and fewer places you can just be without paying to do so. Even now we see one of the last ones, libraries, targeted more and more by certain groups.
