I finished Chants of Sennaar a couple nights ago, it was a lot of fun. Language-based puzzle game inspired by the Tower of Babel. It’s very pretty to look at, and a lot of the puzzles were really clever. My only real complaint is that I was really expecting the final level to be much more difficult, requiring me to do a lot of synthesizing of ideas from previous levels, but instead the final puzzles were pretty easy and linear. I’d still recommend it though, the first 80% of the game is great, and if you get that far, you’ll probably have the momentum to finish, the end doesn’t take that long.
Also a fan of Unbound! My last run I tried whatever setting it is that makes it so that all fully evolved pokemon have the same stat totals, which really made the game feel different and like I actually had options for building a team. Although I still found myself thinking “oh I can’t put butterfree on my team, it’s too weak”
My favorite hack is Gaia, it doesn’t have as many features as Unbound but it’s got the right vibes for a pokemon game while still having increased difficulty and QOL stuff.
Some creators do get support from patreon, but most of those creators are on other platforms. I’m betting that this move pushes those creators out to focus on their other platforms, which will lead to a drastic drop in quality content.
Not when you could be also using that vpn to communicate with people without them knowing
Google Fiber was planned to install in my city, but their only way of delivering service to most neighborhoods was by digging into the roads to lay cables and then covering it up with rubber. Well, they did a terrible job with the roads, tons of damage and potholes, and then they “cancelled” Fiber, so it was all for nothing. You can’t even get Fiber in my city now, even though the uncancelled it.
Oh hell yeah, we just finished this year’s rewatch last night
Become a politician, then sell out to a corporation
Ooh, thats sounds right up my alley. Used to love civilization and stellaris and those types of games, but war was always my least favorite part of the gameplay. It gets in the way of my perfect empire.
Yeah my only interaction with reddit now is if I want to read honest discussion of some specific thing without worrying too much if it’s astroturfed, I can go to google and search like “wireless earbuds for sleeping reddit”. With this change I wouldn’t even have that option available, which I consider to be the last thing reddit’s good for.
TUNIC is another game that you can only play once. I recommend it to anyone who likes elaborate puzzles
Good on ya. The whole book is like that.
Complicated is fine, it was the whole “things are happening on several different floors in your base and everything is happening in real time, so you have to constantly pause to handle everything”
Very excited for adventure mode. The colony builder was overwhelming to me, but I want to support the game, so I feel like a single-character adventure would be perfect
At least its not the other kind of CBT
+1 for this. Keeps all of my characters nice and tidy. Whenever you level up, you pick your new abilities from a list of options, and then it’ll autofill that into your character sheet. It won’t autofill your spells, though, so I use a different app for that. The only downside is that some of the abilities for certain classes aren’t named correctly, I assume due to copyright issues. But the names are pretty clear what they’re referencing (example: Agonizing Blast = Potent Cantrip).
Doesn’t surprise me that he didn’t like it. It lampshades how the themes of the original game are not actually as profound as he says they are, while also being way more fun than the majority of the original
Today i learned that, despite being a cis man who is exclusively attracted to women, this city council considers me to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community
Started playing minecraft again, wanted something cozy to play during the holidays. I always end up committing to a really big build and then lose interest halfway through, so we’ll see how it goes
