Right, blame the customer for the business not holding up their end of the bargain after the fact.

It’s not so easy to just replace your job when you have a specialized skill. It takes months of applying to other jobs, doing interviews, coordinating with recruiters, etc. Not everyone has the time, patience, or ability to do that.
That being said, I am constantly looking for a better position. It takes time out of my day but it’s worth it in the long run.
EU might hit them for it. I have no faith that the US government is going to do anything.
As a VIM user, I don’t want you using VIM on my system unless you know how to use it. I don’t want you borking fstab or the passwd file or some other important config because you don’t know how to quit without saving.
All the alternatives I’ve tried never get the flavor right, not even close. Most are way too sweet.
Telling Google assistant to add items to your shopping list and them being added to a keep note titled “shopping list” was the original functionality in Google keep. I used this feature all the time which is great for someone like me who has ADD. Then without warning, Google decided to change the functionality so that it added the items to Google Express instead. It was a small change that caused a lot of inconvenience and headaches for me. There was a time I would have really cared about this change but considering the inconsistency of Google’s products, I really can’t get invested in them anymore. I try to degoogle my life as much as possible these days.
What would help with sex trafficking is legalizing and regulating prostitution and destigmatizing it.
No one can remove all risk but the security threshold between intercepting an initial connection and compromising a CA are vastly different. The latter would be much more difficult to pull off which is why we use them. Sounds like this EU rule is going to put a ceiling on that though.
I feel like that is also by design. If your account is compromised, you wouldn’t want them to be able to pull messages from your existing devices. It kinda defeats the purpose of them not being stored on the servers.
I have to use that garbage teams app every f****** day and I hate it. I’m glad I have an android phone and actually have some choice with regard to my browser.
Lawyer speak
I feel like the director knew exactly what type of movie he was making too. As bad as it was, I always crack up thinking about “Daddy would you like some sausage?”
I’ve been using obsidian and signal for a while but I’m thinking of setting up a nextcloud instance and using the notes app in that.
There was a time that I actually would have cared about this. I used to use the shopping list feature in keep all the time and I would use Google assistant to add items. When Google randomly decided to switch to adding items to Google Express instead of keep when asking Google assistant to add items to my shopping list, it was such a small thing but it made me realize that I didn’t want to give control of my digital life over to Google to manipulate on a whim. Since then, I have nearly entirely degoogled my life and I can’t really say I’ve been inconvenienced.
Didn’t realize he was pumping out more books since I read the first three in grade school. Excellent series!
This isn’t about value for the taxpayer. It’s about power. It’s about keeping those peons in line.
Don’t be so cynical. Even SCOTUS forced Alabama to re-draw their maps. There’s only so much that the right can do to undermine everyone else’s authority.
If the off-election two years ago is any indication, the 'pubs are doomed. Presidential terms are 4 years but we hold elections for Congress every 2. The last one was in 2022 where everyone was predicting a “red wave” because usually the opposition to the party in the white house makes massive gains. The Republicans and their supporters were expecting to gain a majority in the Senate and they lost seats instead. They gained a majority in the house but only by a very slim margin. Definitely not the super majority they were expecting. This is unheard of in our nation’s history and it’s because the Republicans activated negative turnout. More and more people are becoming more interested in politics and it’s not because they like the Democrats, but because they really hate Republicans right now. You can thank SCOTUS taking away abortion rights for that. What little support women had for the Republicans is long gone after that decision. Don’t trust the polls or the Twitter spammers. The 'pubs are entering the dark ages and it’s all their doing.
By all means, keep believing in that god and stay tf away from me. I don’t want to risk myself being around you if and when you lose your faith.
