Free speech enthusiast.
Long term lemmy dot world user, left after their anti communism and created accounts at lemmygrad as well as dot ee
Lemmy world admins are doing a disservice with creating a firewall for hundred thousand users to the idea of and work done by the lemmy developers.

There is also the “unexpected” or “unknown” and social character of the internet.
and they’re still really unlikely
1 in 1000 is not really unlikely if it is in regards to your life ending.
2 married people with 4 grandparents 1 aunt 3 friends and 3 kids means every year 22±5 out of a small 1000 family neighbourhood will be affected by car deaths.
Assuming that a relevant time period is from the birth of a child till it is 30 and therefore might have had a child of their own, so 30 years we get that around 66%±10% of families will be affected. Instead of only 1-3 families during that time.
You did not lift the veil of ignorance, you created a new veil of diffusion.
It would mean that two out of three families would lose a close person within a 30 year generation due to cars, instead of only a small percentage. This is the power of the 17 times!
The alternative of train rides would mean that within a generation virtually no family is affected by car deaths.
There is quite a bit wrong with your comment. The odds don’t change whether you give them in km or billion kms. However “the odds of dying on each of these” is wrong: Those are not the odds.
As you wrote what you wrote it would mean that only 2 people in the whole US population of 300 million would die on a car.
(annualized) death rate was 1.66 per 10,000 vehicles
The 17times more likely is telling the truth. Of course you could do look at miles consumed per mode of transport, but the point will remain that trains are much more safer (and some people die on them rather by old age, than accidents).
In addition the way you present the numbers with leading zeroes means you have no academic experience in the field of data presentation. Which shows.
Didn’t you forget to ask someone? :jesus:
Literal nazi propaganda quote “Wehrt euch gegen die asiatischen Horden!” / “Defend yourself against asiatic monster hordes”, so yeah it isn’t neutral, it isn’t just descriptive and the imagery and article do reference that asiatic otherness. The perspectives and continuities are relevant in such things.
It is basically “death by snu snu”, but a bit changed and incorporates propagandistic slav- and russophob depictions.
Well the synthesis seems to be the longing to have a sexual partner that is fit and can control you and is interested in physical emotions instead of anything else, so that you are basically only your body and don’t have to justify yourself as long as you are present and this is a longing and embrace - the existing without having to be useful for extraction of surplus - that is common in capitalism.
Thanks for your comment. However that it sits in the high negative numbers (with 3 times the downvotes) shows that this instance is actually a problem. It is quite actively destroying principles of decentralized federated networks. Some very online super posters seem to participate in that.
Again it would be interesting to see who was it that downvoted your post.
The Feds had people on 100 user big BBSes.
If you followed the studies about so called “extremism” (which often ignores the extremism of the center) then lemmy played a role in that, so it is more unlikely than likely that Feds wouldn’t be on several lemmy servers.

At the current place in time 15 people thought it was a good idea to downvote that post. That is also showing quite an obvious anti-left potential anti-liberal and US centric bias, which others for example BIPoCs would not share. Or whistleblowers.
The admins have access to that information btw. who upvotes and downvotes what. This means that closer connection to the FBI also makes it more easy for them to access the 100k+ users preferences, political leanings etc. as well as private messages. Other agencies wouldn’t even need to be involved with warrants to get that data, since the servers are harboring enough international communication that you ought to act as if intelligence agencies might have access to what you write, post and how you vote.
Decentralized lemmy verse are definitely something to aim for. It is essential for the concepts and ensures diverse communities which aren’t dominated by admin ideas and regional bias.

and those troll-websites (and culture) is well known to retaliate in the form of DDOS attacks.
Which ones? Cause it seems you are kinda inventing a new reality unless you mean 4chan or alike (which do not have lemmy instances though right wing exploding heads would be close).
You don’t have to compare atrocities of the scale of Nazi regimes or the Fascist Imperial Japanese regime.
The good old: “Actually people supporting trans are doing the right a service!”
Pity that hexbear is a bastion of trans posters, which means you are effectively saying: “Trans people are (used by) right wing people as ammunition!” which is right, but right wingers do weaponize everything. There is no way to behave nice enough to complacence them.
I have yet to find a post in your profile in which you do write public support for our trans comrades 🏳️⚧️. I doubt you will, but even if you do it it will remain performative unless you repeat it online, amplify trans voices and start to support your LGBTQ community in your meat space. However since you have no positive comment in the last month it is clear that you are objectively not supporting trans rights, since your only mention is how a group you disagree with - which itself does support trans rights - is hurting trans folk. to the audience Raise your hands if that does sound transphobe to you.
The X are poison is a very common fascist talking point that is actually a verbatim quote of not only that, but Nazi propaganda.
That isn’t literally what the person said, though. The modlog and profile on hexbear does show that they did also argue to post less about trans support, argued for people showing less support and did not accept when other, trans!, people explained their view and why he ought to chill out at least. So there was a repeated violation of server rules in a short span of time (and fawx did leave the server).
The ban in the mod log is also for 1 day, not eternal (all of us are human and sometimes we are on rolls we wouldn’t continue after a good round of sleep). Don’t trust random people when it aligns with your bias.
@GhostOfHoxha@lemmy.ml did give already a critique on your comment in content.
Source? For all three claims please.
That is the thing with states, i.e. the USA, the state power enforces laws. Just as Max Weber’s theories go.
However in the USA it often seems that corporations and economic elites do have quite a say in things that are related to doing away with employee laws, without many push-back.
Anyhow, are you in a union? Make your friends get into unions. However if you do you have to be willing to strike, willing to be internationalists and willing to organize. Try to achieve 45% union membership rate within your company and the subcontractors working with you.
