“I’m knittin’ like a fuckin electric nan”
I found normal Debian to be a little unpolished for my liking. Even using the Cinnamon DE, it was lacking some niceties that Mint brings. I don’t think you’ll have any trouble using Mint.
I’m quite happy with Linux Mint Debian Edition. I think it is the future of Mint. It’s on a very recent kernel, and more and more software I use nowadays is in Flatpaks anyways. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much new stuff, but maybe I’m just not aware.
Ah, that’s too bad :(. It’s getting tougher out there. I haven’t gotten a Linux phone yet, but it seems like the clock is ticking.
I’m pretty happy with my 8T. As long as they let you unlock the bootloader, and LineageOS supports them, they’ll be a good option.
Somebody else mentioned it, but I want to second yunohost. That’s where I started years ago, and remain today. I run it on a box at home, and it has Nextcloud, Navidrome and a couple other things installed on it. About as easy as it gets.
For media server (Jellyfin, etc), I have tried several solutions and ended up with swizzin community edition. The hardest part was setting up the VPN to integrate with the torrent client, so I don’t get booted off the Hetzner host. Note that you could also set this up at home.
As you can see by the replies, lots of people want to help you, but very few want to set this stuff up for pay. If you really want to go that route, check out sites like fiverr or upwork.
I’m gonna say he probably got it, but this was in the 90’s, so even if he did, I’m sure it isn’t visible anymore.
I know a guy that has: Jagermeister
Corn and peanuts. Either of those might as well be cat treats.
Desperados Under the Eaves (but really, lots of Warren Zevon songs)
That’s the Way the World Goes Round (John Prine)
Yes, do exactly this. If you have AppleTV connected to your TV over HDMI or whatever, why does your TV need an internet connection?
More like lobby for anticompetitive import laws.
Pen-ek Ratanaruang. He is a Thai director, and he has made some excellent films. His most recent few are a bit too ‘artsy’ for me, but “Monrak Transistor”, " Talok 69", and “Last Life in the Universe” are some of my favorite movies.
But they also get healthcare, and I believe a pension for life, even if they only serve a day in congress.
Wait til you hear where TOR gets its funding!
I just had to move to a different Lemmy app.
Which one you got?
Looking forward to seeing it in Fdroid :)
You don’t actually believe this, do you? The US is verrryy happy to deal with and even support antidemocratic regimes, as long as it suits our geopolitical interests. The “freedom and democracy” bullshit is so threadbare at this point, that it strains the imagination to think that there is anyone left who actually believes it.
In the specific case of Cuba, the US has tried everything it could to undo the revolution in Cuba. Do you think “free, multiparty elections” would be held without overwhelming US interference?
Just as a reminder: before the revolution, Cuba was run by a dictator who was hated by the Cuban people, but loved by the US political/corporate interests. Also, the nations of the UN regularly vote overwhelmingly to end the US sanctions, which the US vetoes.
Allmans are great. I grew up loving Skynyrd, but I can’t really listen to most of it anymore. Check out “Play it all night long” by Warren Zevon for a pretty brutal mockery of “Sweet home Alabama”.
To convince your citizens that war is good, actually.
