It’s true that printer paper even without a printer can be great for creativity. Blank paper, crayons, and pens have been all my kids need to have countless hours of creative time.
Even so, that’s not exactly the same as being able to print up coloring sheets, or custom chore charts, or Lego Mario barcodes, creations they made on the computer or iPad, maps, Pokémon data sheets and type charts, etc… And sure, some of those could be made by hand, but that would be an activity in itself instead of assisting an existing activity. Yak shaving.
Printers are really great when you have children. It’s amazing what a few printed sheets can become, and how long they can last. Some crafts I’ve made with my printer have lasted years and still serve their purpose.
Does that include the price of the printer?
1200 years later, name_NULL’s children were still destroying the children of name_NULL’s enemies because they all deserved it. 🙄
Haha, this proves that god is not a source of morality, and instead is a dictator. I’ve killed everybody I want to kill, which is nobody, even when god isn’t there to stop me.
Target display mode let you plug another computer into your iMac, hit a key sequence, and use your iMac as an external display.
Target disk mode let you hold a key sequence at boot and use your Mac like an external hard disk.
Force Touch is something I am not sure that was ever done outside ~the Mac~ Apple. I still love how the trackpad isn’t really a click, but a haptic tap that can occur at a configurable pressure, and does not occur at all when the device is powered off.
LiDAR in a consumer device was unheard of when it came out with the iPad Pro. At the time it came out, I was working in a lab where we used $160k velodyne LiDAR devices. To have one in a $1k tablet was amazing.
It’s crazy to think that the original MacBook Air had a spinning hdd, which was 1.8".
After seeing this post I finally gave it a whirl. After a few days of use, I’ve decided to stick with photoprism. It’s interesting to see how they each have different strengths. I think immich looks more promising, but I ran into problems with a ton of missing thumbnails, map photo clusters that weren’t actionable, black panorama images, and some things in the UI that I just wasn’t into. Great app though! It’s really exciting to see multiple self hosted image apps being developed. I kept my launch configs and customizations and will give it another look in 3-6 months.

The “S” in IOT is for “security”.
I doubt individual birthdays are considered a protected class, so I doubt it.
Politicians aren’t known for their morality and selflessness.
It is a bad thing for that countries economy. Populations where elderly people are disproportionate to younger people require an unusually high number of care takers, and those caretakers are not participating in careers that maintain or increase the countries standard of living. So for instance, there may be fewer people working on maintaining roads and infrastructure, which means the quality of those things will decline. If you apply that thinly across everything except elder care, you get increased scarcity across the board, which generally increases costs while decreasing quality.

It’s religious fanatics all the way down to hell.
That insight makes the large loss of life in this war even more tragic. Fuck war. Fuck Putin for sending these men to kill and die.
