Sounds like you need to answer back with numbers.
Calculate how much time is needed for writing tests.
Then calculate how much time was spent writing ineffective code, then add the amount of time it took to rewrite that same code.
I guarantee the latter amount will be more.
Bonus points if you can calculate the amount of money lost from an unavailable application, then add in the amount of money lost from the confidence your customers are losing in that app.
Maybe a response to their ‘solution’ would be to ask them if they were under the impression you weren’t being careful/paying attention before the bugs occurred?

I’ve got a really fond spot in my heart for The Neverhood. It really opened my young eyes to the possibility that video games could be weird and artistic. They didn’t have to be an action packed generic mainstream capitalization of whatever is popular at the moment. As a kid, I could still tell it was a unique piece of work that required a lot of passion and creativity. I consider it the first indie game I ever played and it absolutely set the tone for what I chose to play to this day.
I still listen to the soundtrack nearly three decades later.
Imagine if a trumpet cleaning supply company wrote up an article about the importance of cleaning your trumpet regularly, and somewhere in the article they mentioned something like, ‘oh and you can use your trumpet cleaning spray to clean your trumpet’. Does this mean the information is incorrect? No? Any more or less valid than some dude named Craig on YouTube showing you how he cleans his trumpet? I don’t think so?
Yeah it’s an ad, but it’s an informative ad from an organization that obviously has some passion for the area of their product. I think it would actually be kind of weird if a company that does version control had absolutely no documentation on what version control best practices are.
They told us in boot camp the difference is about $10k.

My two cents:
Choc (low profile) switches are awesome for portable keyboards, but if you lean tactile, it’s going to be hard to find a satisfying switch. Khail sunsets are the closest I’ve come to my cherished Zealio V2s. I’d recommend looking around for a sample pack.
Two more cents:
I switched from a lily to a pinky3 a year or two ago and thought the same thing about reducing keys. It was a slight adjustment at first but I absolutely love it now. Typing on a 4 row keyboard is slightly annoying to me at this point. Why should I have to move my fingers so far just to type a single number? I found that having a number layer across the top row and a right side num pad connecting to where the 7 - 8 - 9 is on that row has been wonderful.
Every single one of my coworkers who had an ergodox ez now has a moonlander and they are unanimously happy with the upgrade. Tenting is at least an option with the moonlander.
I have the falba redox which is very similar to both layouts and is by far the best tenting on any keyboard I own. Might be a third option if you’re seriously considering the other two.
