I think a short story is a hood alternative! Keeps some of the momentum of a book club but doesnt require as much time

I really enjoyed that! I think the first section was the strongest to me personally – it was more grounded in real events, while some of the other sections lost some of their power by becomming too abstract. I did enjoy the aspect of different interconnected characters setting up eachothers stories.

I went ahead and shared it in my solarpunk bookclub, hopefully some more people will give it a read through!

Also it might be worth crossposting to a solarpunk community, it really fits the vibe :)

That was a cool series to read through! I have a friend who tattoos & he favorite pieces to do are queer scenes. It makes me happy to see that its a larger trend

From hearing various first hand accounts, it sounds like alot of hardcore burners embraced the rain & most others dipped out as soon as they could (many while the exit was technically closed).

I bet the energy was kinda fun and wild as long as you has the right gear and attitude

I think the issue was more about forcing intense discourse on people who aren’t interested in having that conversation at that moment.

You werent banned for calling out transphobia, you were banned because you were being pedantic and argumentative. Plus you were on a new account so everything all together made it look like you were trolling.

I think if you had stopped after one or two comments it would be fine. My rule is generally to point out something if I feel it needs to be said, then maybe give one more clarifying response, then let it go.

Another choice would be to make a separate post somewhere discussing the neuances of ‘disliking politics’ – then people who comment on it clearly want to have that discussion and are opting in.

It seems like the situation triggered you, and sometimes the most productive choice is to step back from the conversation and move on.

Yeah, cloning takes alot of dedicated space. I also cant justify turning every closet in my house into a grow space lol. I have been tempted tho.

Ive been thinking of getting some silver thiosulfate and making my own feminized seeds as an alternative to cloning. Keeping seeds on hand is much easier than clones lol

Oooo that sounds goooood. I had some stawberry cough live resin & it was a nice light berry flavor. I enjoyed it, but im guessing the freshly cured homegrown was even better.

I havent tried the bud in the photo, it just started drying yesterday & itsnt smokable yet. It smells gassy/skunky with a slight floral overtone. Im hoping it will get fruitier as it cures.

I think my favorite strain ive grown this year was tropacana cookies. It had this amazing fruity floral smell, like a box of fruit loops with more citrus. The high was nice and heady too. Im still sad i didnt get some seeds or clones from that grow.

They were gifted to me by a friend, I think from north atlantic seed co, but idk what strain.

I will say irl they look more purple than blue. The photo colors came out a lil odd. Still definetly a lovely plant :)

No, thats just how the photos came out on my camera! I think its a mix of the lighting and the buds being kind of purple in real life.

Definetly a pretty plant, the leaves got really red just before i chopped them.

They must have added it back, I have a bottom address bar on my phone currently

Yeah the forced insert of the new character was annoying. Its sad that seth mcfarlanes love life affects the characters and plot lines in the show. Alara was one of my favorite characters

I feel similarly. The lack of comedy in season 3 really hurt the overall quality of the show imo
