Avatar is a lemming in bed because this account wasn’t intended to be used except for creating communities… and then my instance announced it was closing.
Big box games with proper manuals.
There’s https://fedi-search.com/ and https://www.search-lemmy.com/ as well. I’m not sure if that latter one is still active though, it certainly appears to be down at the moment.
I bow to your superior knowledge. It definitely doesn’t wear out SD cards as quickly though, but that might be due to other factors not wear levelling.
What I missed mentioning is it does wear-levelling so as its name suggests it is “flash friendly” and stops SD cards wearing out so quickly.
I use f2fs on my Raspberry Pis, it’s designed for flash storage and appears to have much better performance than ext4 on the same device. I’m not sure whether it’s suitable for SSDs, or just SD cards and USB (these devices are optimised for FAT and f2fs utilises that optimisation). When I tried to use f2fs on a proper laptop it was too early and the distro didn’t support booting from it. I assume that has changed now.
As for the others, I usually stick with ext4 as I’ve never seen a compelling reason not to.
I use File Manager + https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alphainventor.filemanager
Those shortcuts invoke clipshare. It looks like there’s also a sync mode so you can use normal copy/paste and it will still sync.
Not mentioned yet, but !artshare@lemmy.world is a good place to share art specifically.
I’ve been switching back to Firefox. The latest Raspberry Pi OS finally has Firefox as a supported browser, which was the kick I needed, as I tend to use the Pi as my main computer for general tasks. Yesterday I installed the Android Firefox too. I’m trying to reduce reliance on Google as I don’t like what they are trying to do with Chrome.
I think the last one I actually completed was Return to Monkey Island. It was good fun!
Sounds like it! I have to identify people based on their hair or clothes, where they are, or even their voice. Once I asked where somebody was, turns out I was standing near them and even after they’d been pointed out I didn’t recognise them (they’d turned up sporting a beard). It was only after they spoke that I said "oh, yeah’.
I had this problem with Game of Thrones.
I also have facial blindness which doesn’t help.
Not a clue who anyone is most of the time.
This is mine but there’s not an equivalent on Lemmy (my other communities I ended up moving over for various reasons): !teletext@fedia.io
Yeah, there’s a bug where things get back to the original magazine but don’t federate back out to other instances until they are interacted with on the original instance. So if you post to a Kbin magazine nobody sees it, until somebody with an account on the original magazine’s instance upvotes it. I raised it on the Kbin issue tracker but nobody seemed to believe me even though I’d proved this was the problem.
The most girly ones I can find. Anything marketed as “for men” with no actual scent described is a big warning sign to avoid. I imagine they are “Engine oil and Swarfega” or “Sawdust and petrol” or other stereotypical alpha male aromas.
For me it was the second screen of Airwolf on the ZX Spectrum.
!imaginaryfairies@lemmings.world - shameless self plug.

I have a couple of “smart” things I didn’t have at the last change, and it turns out I need to change the timezone on them manually. Argh! Just pick a timezone and stick with it - it’ll make everyone’s life simpler.
I had to buy an adapter. I much prefer wired earphones, as somebody else commented, it’s much easier to switch wired ones between devices. With wireless you also have the issue of disconnecting them if you want audio through the phone speaker. I hate Bluetooth anyway.
I also prefer the earphones which sit just in the ear, rather than the current style of ones that need to be forced inside. I don’t think you can get wireless earphones like that, probably because they would be lost easily. I like proper headphones too (so that’s an option for wireless), but they are quite bulky so not always convenient.
