So having read nothing by Scalzi until now, I was unsure if I liked him or not.
I found this short story in the same universe as Old man’s war, so that I could get an idea of what to expect.
I agree, they are “cold” indeed. But from a story point of view they are optimistic, and usually things end somehow well, with a positive evolution of the character and/or of humanity, which I find kind of reassurng
I would say mostly everything by Asimov and Clarke.
There is an evolutional optimism that always gives me cozy feeling
Well, that’s not true. Depends whose legs you ask for. You can get chicken eggs almost everywhere 😜
According to their ad, it was!
This video from Uber is one of the best fuckcars video around
Che simpaticone questo Etna!
I like the genre, an I plan to read more of it. My highlights:
Asimov’s foundation cycle
Hyperion series
Dune series
Ender series: I read only Ender’s Game and liked it a lot. I plan to read more!
Still missing:
the Expanse
children of time and following ones
I loved it and also the following ones. Peak hard scifi
Apple riesce a fare smartphone compatti…
Tutti li vogliono, (quasi) nessuno li fa. Eppure sembra esserci richiesta e nessuna limitazione tecnica
It’s not a petition, it’s an European citizen initiative, a formal and official way to present a law to be discussed by eu commission.
I’m saying this because it’s a powerful tool, unlike the usual common petitions (like the change.org ones)
Is that a thing? Ok, now I have a serious reason to play. How long did it take?
Here I am😊
Well, nothing special: I input the fdroid link to the app in the “url” field, some text in the text field, I uploaded an image…
I did this through Jeroba btw
From the gitlab repo:
This is a 2020 remake of the Game Alto’s Adventure (2015), which was a remake of Ski Safari (2012). The first release of this game is in 2023.
The author wanted a really libre implentation of that game 😉
