It’s the obese who need to touch grass buddy. It’s not that hard to maintain a healthy weight if you put any effort at all. Literally just looking at the calories of what you’re consuming will cover it for almost everyone. If you actually exercise on top of that it’s easy mode.

Initially I was kind of on her side but thinking about it I can’t really justify it. As long as the establishment is cool with it you’re good. If you’re bringing your own food in that’s a little worse IMO but the main thing is if you’re not spending money don’t create more work for them. Just occupying a seat at a table with a group who’s all buying stuff should be fine.

It doesn’t take a real world test to know you’re wrong. It’s as simple as thinking about it for a couple minutes. It’s a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. Having the chip built into a bag means they have to scan the bag which means they have to orient a bag around to get it positioned correctly for scanning. This is objectively more difficult than using a card.

Also, you now have to deal with all the problems that come with bags if the chip is built into the bag you have to use THAT bag for that store. You can’t find a bag, crate, whatever that is to your liking and use it when you go shopping. You have to carry the specific bag for the specific store you are going into instead of getting one that you use everywhere which means having a bunch of different bags for all the stores you go to. If the bag is damaged you now have to get an entirely new bag instead of just a replacement card. If you live with other people that also have their own memberships then you will have to keep even more bags around.

Which would be cumbersome.

Having to get a scanner to read a chip in a huge bag would be cumbersome as hell.

No, its only a lie if they say they were going to do it without ever intending to do so. If they intended to do it and something happened that prevented them from doing it, it wasn’t a lie. If you’re looking for a reason to be pissed at someone for not fulfilling a promise you still can be justified depending on the rest of the context.

I use wired headphones and I use an aux jack in my car. I have a set of BT ones I use if i’m walking around but if I’m stationary (which is the case 90% of the time I’m using my phone) wired is better. Better sound, no battery to worry about failing, no BT delay turning everything you watch into a shitty dub.

The expectations are based off known metrics of what we can accomplish based off years of data. The high performers on my team consistently double the output that is expected of them while also handling escalation of more difficult issues. I can’t just tell them to lower their expectations because the only thing that’s changed is the people doing the work.

I do understand that. The problem is that my boss doesn’t and when my team fails to deliver something I’m answerable for it. On top of that the company as a whole makes it a pain in the ass to replace people if I fire them so it takes months to get someone new up to speed. It’s a no win situation which is why I’m so stressed out all the time.

I’m actually working on switching to a different team where I won’t have to manage anyone else. I’m hoping that fixes some of it because a lot of the people I’m in charge of require a lot of baby sitting and my team is 24/7. Im already trying to lower the amount of effort I put in but if I do much less it makes things worse for my coworkers. I don’t really care about the company beyond not getting fired but I do not want to create problems for my coworkers.

I wish I could manage my work stress well enough that I could still enjoy doing things when I get home.
