I get what anti-AI people are trying to say: job replacements and accelerating corporate interests are big concerns that should be addressed at a systemic level. But honestly, just give me a solution where, I as an autistic person can talk to someone about things that no one else wants to talk about, and can help me solve my problems, and is available (especially emotionally) 24/7. If you can’t do that, just let me be with my AI.

I remember the last time this got brought up and I complained about my thumb not being able to reach the other side of the iphone 3 mini. Well, I tried the Samsung Z Fold the other day and I really like how narrow it is to the point where my thumb can effortly reach the other side when the phone is folded. Perhaps I’ll get that phone in the future when my current iPhone 13 mini dies. At the same time, I do enjoy my Apple Watch though and I appreciate the longetivity of the iPhone compared to other brands.

Maybe that’s why poly is becoming a thing; it makes sense in America since its individualism ensures that children are independent of their parents, and especially extended family most of the time. Back in the day, children would still stay with their parents even when they have children themselves (and this is returning with inflations getting worse. Heck, there are even traditional housing systems where there is one “apartment” that consists of one extended family. But now, at least in the States, children can travel miles away from their family and pay them a visit only once in a while; so there’s no constant handling of children like in the old days. I suppose teachers can fill this role as well, but teachers handle groups of children at the time. They may or may not get individualized needs that need to be addressed that only an adult who lives with them can provide.

This is true. Even amongst humans, there’s a concept called “surrogate partners”, who work with sex therapists who help patients deal with barriers in intimate relationships.

I’m autistic so perhaps I’m more tolerant to repetitive content. I tend to follow reaction and commentary channels because they sorta help me navigate through social situations, and I consider them to be the judges of the situations, especially when they’re well trusted. Being comedic is a bonus.

Now people will rely on social cred. Indie authors would have to rely on social media and blogging to come accross as attractive enough for their written works to be interesting. Same with any other indie-related fields, really.
