You might want to reword your title. It sounds like you’re asking for advice on how to steal something. Your post makes it clear that you’re referring to movies and video games, maybe include that in the title.
This is what I’ve been wondering. Facebook’s past behavior definitely worries me, but I haven’t been able to think of the mechanism by which they could actually hurt ActivityPub. What more could they do beside just defederate from everyone? We would be left with what we currently have, which is fine with me.
Can anyone else think of a direct path by which Facebook could hurt ActivityPub?
He might be trying to create an in vs. out crowd mentality. If he makes Fortnite players feel exclusive and special, they may be more likely to choose playing Fortnite over other games.
For some reason, I heard this as Patchy the Pirate’s voice.
Looks delicious!
Wow, just wow. This is really good. The character design, animation, colors, music, everything is truly spectacular. I’m only halfway through and am totally blown away by how awesome this is.
Nintendo, hire whomever worked on this now!
The lead gameplay designer for Limbo and Inside, Jeppe Carlsen, recently released another game, Cocoon. It’s excellent, but not a horror game. I highly recommend it.

I have a psychology joke but you’ll think it’s crazy.
He may have fooled some, but I know a capitalist when I see one.

Sure those things are helpful but you still can’t even set a different default map, email, or browser app. I like Apple hardware, but I do not like their apps.
Laws of robotics? Can’t harm human if human is peppers.
What you’re referring to has been coined “enshittification.” Wired has an article on it and they start with Amazon as an example.

Same, we did it!
I’ll second this. I’ve been engaging with lots of people and it feels like a real community here.
Logseq and Syncthing. I really like cross-platform apps as I use a MacBook for work, an Android phone for personal and work, and a personal PC for gaming/general use. I have Logseq and Syncthing on all of them so I can journal and take notes wherever I am and it keeps everything updated.
I do have one issue where my work VPN causes Syncthing to fail when connected, so disconnecting at the end of the day is my current workaround.
Ugh, so disgusting. The only reason I use Substack is to follow Gregory Warner after NPR cancelled Rough Translation. I really hope he moves somewhere else.
