It’s new for the consumer market, with past versions of Windows it’s only been available to the biz side.
Thanks! I’ve just got it working now - something weird is going on with my ddns setup but manually linking my IP to the nextdns profile did it.
Interesting. I’m using nextdns on my router, I had manually blocked ads.roku.com and now have the Stephen Black block list enabled too but I’m still getting ads.
Now that I look through my nextdns logs, I don’t see my roku at all so something seems to be up with my config. Thanks for the help!
Do you know what you had to block to stop the Roku ads?
I recently bought a Roku and was surprised to find they force ads on their home screen. It’s obviously not as terrible as a fullscreen ad but its still very annoying.

I tried to daily Linux on my laptop but gave up after about 6 months. The two major issues for me were the speakers amp and the fingerprint reader not being supported. The speakers wasn’t that big of a problem because audio still worked so I could use headphones or Bluetooth. The fingerprint reader not working grew to be a major annoyance though, it’s so much more convenient to use than typing out a password.
One of the major reasons I gave up on trying to run Linux on my laptop was lack of fingerprint reader support.
Probably Bad. This guy is a libertarian extremist with lots of strange ideas.
It’s serious enough that they immediately cut ties and publicly accuse him of dishonesty, to me that suggests it’s probably something illegal.
Brockman is off the board now too.
I agree there are people undeserving, but that doesn’t change the fact that there are inalienable rights inherent to all people. If the state is going to legitimately enforce the law it must respect those rights while doing so.
You can use syncthing and not have to rely on cloud storage or pay for anything. I use it to keep my ebook library synchronized across devices and it does the job.
The book it’s based on is supposed to be very good too.
I don’t understand this way of thinking. Why does what people believe about the legitimacy of the Israeli government have any effect on your acceptance of atrocities?
That’s not a great argument. Just because your objectives are legitimate doesn’t mean your actions are legitimate.
I saw comments explicitly supporting Hamas and their recent actions on Lemmygrad a few weeks ago. Someone was even posting about how they hoped hostages get tortured by Hamas. I haven’t gone back but I assume you can still find those people there. They aren’t really any different than the Zionist extremists who support IDF war crimes, they just use different language to justify the horror.
There’s apparently video of the rocket according to the article so unless you are claiming it’s faked what does it matter what anyone previously claimed? There’s been a bunch of claims made by all sorts of people, what should matter is actual evidence.
A bunch of angry cops showed up looking for their murder suspect. It was a guy I worked with that apparently was also involved in the heroin industry. He ended up in prison but not for murder.
