Android Auto can’t work with sandboxing, it basically needs to run as root and get full access to absolutely everything on the device.
I’d not expect it to work ever, unless someone spends significant time reverse engineering it.

Because if you live in oppressive countries without privacy laws, your ISP can/will also rat you out. Like the USA.
Mostly iPhones actually, they do use a lot of facetime to be fair, but almost all chatting is Facebook messenger
And also as a Norwegian I don’t know a single person that uses iMessage.
Everyone I know are using Facebook messenger, Snapchat or WhatsApp.
Google play one specifies UGC (user generated content) so it definitely means being able to block someone entirely
My ISP has their own usenet servers. I get access to all the good shit via it, for free.
It’s fantastic, I can’t install the logitech software at work so I’ve used a Linux laptop with Solaar to add/remove devices on my receivers.
Funnily enough, this web based thing actually means l can now do this on my work laptop…
This reminds me that we need a windows port of Solaar (https://github.com/pwr-Solaar/Solaar)
Neat! That’s a massive undertaking considering how much stuff needs to be shimmed to protect privacy, surprised anyone bothered! But I guess someone on the team must have bought a new car recently and want it working.
