    The irony is that there were Ukrainian generals who were practically screaming not to do it, that a counteroffensive would be a disaster and that they should go on the defensive instead. But the Americans insisted they should attack so they had to do it and now they’re in a much worse position than they were this time last year. So i think you’re absolutely right, the more the Americans get involved in micromanaging this proxy war the sooner it will be over.

      nah, i’m sure the people who lost to the taliban will figure out how to beat russia.

      if all else fails, they’ll win the hearts and minds!

      It makes perfect sense if you goal is to get an many Ukrainians killed as possible before you swoop in and take over what’s left of the industry and resources.
