fill an endless pit with fake money bought with real money.
Honest question, if the money is the issue, then why not let him play the free stuff and not spend money on it?
Disagree. If this was true, terrible companies should be named and shamed.
That’s what it is.
This can’t be real. There are so many red flags this is fake. 1) Everything is censored. 2) GIS (Google image search) lookup only shows reddit and linkedin. The linkedin post is just as vague “learned a colleague received this!” 3) It’s too good to be true. it plays on current fears. 4) It’s just so dumb.
Kind of. 0.19 update logged me out of everything. So, it’s a fresh login.
Deep rock Galactic is my vote. It doesn’t have a narrative, but it does have a very thin campaign. It’s mostly a few voice overs and random missions. However, the difficulty is scalable, if you’re looking for a challenge. The game is incredibly movement focused. Each class has a movement power that’s unique. Gunners get zip lines that are slow but go up and anyone can use them. Scout has a grappling hook that’s fast and unlimited but only they can use it. Engineer makes platforms that anyone can scale. Driller can tunnel thru the rock any direction. The terrain is deformable.
I relate to this. My father isn’t as openly hostile as yours sounds, but he’s a narcissist. One year, he decided he was to busy to visit my kids, his grandkids. He’s retired.
For me, there is an emotional tug that will always be there, not for him, but for a father that loves me. Rationally, I remind myself of why I haven’t talked to him in 5 years. It’s gotten easier over time, but it still flares up occasionally.
For TV and movies, I like Screen Crush. Their humor is perfect for me, I like their mascot dog, and the ads aren’t as bad as New Rockstars.
I used to follow corridor crew before they started huffing their own farts.
When people in my friend group say dumb shit, I don’t attack them for it. I mildly question it. I’ll respond with “eh… I dunno about that.” or “you sure about that?” or “that’s not cool, dude.” something mild. Give them a chance to save face. If their behavior keeps up, I amp up my responses in strength. “that’s seriously wrong.” or “knock if off” in a more stern tone.
If that doesn’t work, I’ll state that I don’t really like what’s going on and I don’t wanna be around that. You can’t control others, and so I imply I’m thinking of leaving. If they still change their behavior then maybe it’s time to leave.
People change over time, you’ve changed, they’ve changed. Maybe the season of this friend group has passed.
two !asklemmy communities
do you mean !asklemmy@lemmy.ml and !asklemmy@lemmy.world ?
Someone else paying the bills.
Behind the Bastards
I really, really need to listen to more. My spouse made me listen to the Steven Segal episodes. Wow, I knew he was a jerkwad, but I didn’t know how extensively terrible he is.
Way more than 3, lol.
How is WAN show lately? I tried to listen a while back but Linus… comes off really, really full of himself and it was hard tolerate to get to the substance.
Making It - Bob Clagett (I Like to Make Stuff on youtube), Jimmy Diresta (on youtube), David Picciuto (Make Anything on youtube) discuss their projects, being a maker, being on youtube, etc.
Safety Third - William Osman (on youtube), Allen Pan (on youtube), Kevin (Backyard Scientist on youtube), and guests (supposed to be Nigel of NileRed, but he never shows up). Nominally, they talk about being science youtubers, but it descends into chaos pretty rapidly.
A podcast of 3 of my friends just shooting the shit, being morons to each other.
I really like the art style.
Not quite. You’re almost there. The manufacturers add emulsifying chemicals and preservatives.
Spoiler alert: No business regulates themselves effectively. Those that do only do it under duress of govt doing it if they don’t.
cries in theurgist
I’ve never found another class that replicates the theurgist. I miss my pocket army.
